Absolutely wonderful is the book by novelist Barbara Colley called Maid for Murder (Charlotte LaRue Mystery Series). This is one of those mystery books that I choose to read during a dull, rainy evening, covered up in a blanket with a nice tea cup. Anyway, if you need a brief overview and hesitate whether to buy it, read this post.

Last Friday I was seriously stressed after work and I dropped in a t a book shop on my way home in order to get some good detective book to digress from endless work problems. I had two days of weekend ahead to enjoy myself and a book. Significantly, the lady was right and the book really turned out great. Although it was about 260 pages long, I read it through in 4 days! It is about a 59-year-old Charlotte La Rue who has her small cleaning-houses-business. Not only she cleans up messes at people’s homes, also she sweeps away the dirt and unfairness from people’s lives and souls. Individuals she helps are her clients. In this story Charlotte could not help sympathetic to Jeanne – her widow client left alone with a stricken child. It is interesting how Charlotte finds a balance in between her civil duty and utmost devotion to the people she’s known for years. The book is absolutely catching and I just did not want to get to work on Monday. However, what a surprise it was to buy research papers online and writing a term paper on this book!
